About the Opportunity:
The Flinders Foundation Cancer Wellness Program Manager is responsible for building a patient-centred culture and planning, developing and coordinating initiatives, programs and services from a wide range of providers, to help address the unmet needs of people with cancer at the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer (FCIC) and in the community. The focal point for the program is the Cancer Wellness Centre, managed by Flinders Foundation in partnership with clinicians and researchers across the Flinders precinct.
 
This position is currently funded for a two-year fixed term and offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time (0.8) hours.
 
Key Responsibility Areas:
Program Management

• Work with stakeholders to develop evidence-based programs for people affected by cancer.
• Set up referral pathways and process business cases to support the program.
• Oversee program evaluation and reporting for Flinders Foundation and the Cancer Wellness Governance Committee.
• Review wellness models and suggest new activities to enhance the Flinders Cancer Wellness Program.
• Support research initiatives through the Flinders Cancer Wellness Program.

Partnerships

• Identify new cancer wellness providers and funding to support the Flinders Cancer Wellness Program.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers and peer support roles.
• Collaborate with Cancer Council SA and community groups to provide trusted information and support.
• Build relationships with stakeholders within Flinders Health Precinct and the community.
• Promote consumer feedback and connect with groups that add value to the program.

Culture

• Foster a patient-centred, philanthropic culture within Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer and the Flinders Cancer Wellness Centre.
• Engage with donors meaningfully and celebrate success with all stakeholders.

Operational Duties

• Serve as the primary contact and provide excellent customer service for the Flinders Cancer Wellness Program.
• Manage room and provider bookings, schedules, and promotional materials.
• Offer tours, assist visitors, and handle maintenance needs.
• Represent the Flinders Foundation at events and prepare documents for the Cancer Wellness Governance Committee.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A minimum three years’ experience in a program/project management, Senior Executive Assistant, Practice Management and/or clinical service delivery environment preferred.
• Passionate and connected to purpose.
• Demonstrable understanding of communications, marketing and fundraising principles.
• Excellent at building effective relationships with different stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic and innovative thinker and problem solver.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Demonstrated history of driving and developing position and working relatively autonomously (i.e ability to identify priority work and overcome challenges independently).
• Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications and exposure to CRM’s such as Salesforce.
• Advanced time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience in a cancer/healthcare setting viewed favourably.

Candidates will be required to provide a current SAPOL police check, DHS Working with Children’s Check.
