About our Opportunity:
The Senior Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and executing a strategic partnership strategy to acquire, nurture, and grow high-value, multi-year corporate partnerships and philanthropic support. This role will focus on driving revenue growth, diversifying income streams, and increasing the impact of Flinders Foundation’s initiatives. Additionally, the role provides leadership and performance coaching for three direct reports.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Develop and lead initiatives to grow corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and philanthropic support, ensuring alignment with the Foundation's values.
- Research and cultivate prospective partners, securing multi-year funding agreements to drive income growth and impact.
- Collaborate with marketing to create tailored, compelling partnership proposals for prospective donors.
- Lead, mentor, and support the Donor Development Manager, Community Fundraising Specialist and Fundraising Coordinator, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Oversee the delivery of individual giving programs, including appeals, regular giving, legacy giving, and grateful patient programs, to maximise donor retention.
- Drive community fundraising efforts, connecting beneficiaries with campaigns to enhance storytelling and donor engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with high-value partners, donors, and stakeholders, including executive-level engagement.
- Support the planning and execution of community fundraising events and donor campaigns.
- Prepare performance and impact reports, manage budgets, and track income performance to meet or exceed targets.
- Represent Flinders Foundation at events and meetings, developing networks to raise the profile and secure new opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will have: - 5+ years demonstrated experience in building and managing corporate and philanthropic partnerships, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a nonprofit or for-purpose organisation.
- Tertiary qualification in business, marketing, communication, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the healthcare or medical research sector.
- Proven ability to secure multi-year, mutually beneficial agreements with a focus on untied revenue.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams.
- Strong business development skills, with a proven ability to identify new opportunities and build a robust pipeline of support.
- Skilled relationship manager with the ability to influence, negotiate, build rapport, and achieve targets.
- Proven experience in briefing and collaborating with marketing and communications teams to develop tailored proposals and campaigns.
- Proficient in managing budgets and producing accurate performance and impact reports.
