Dental CAD Production Assistant will support the digital dental design and manufacturing workflow. This role plays a critical part in two main production phases: initial CAD file preparation and dental model design, followed by model nesting and print preparation. You will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure files are accurately processed, organized, and prepared for 3D printing and shipping.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Production Phase 1 – Case Intake & Preliminary Design
Design Tasks:

• Import dental scan files into CAD software for initial processing.
• Use AI-assisted verification tools to check case integrity and ensure design compatibility.
• Apply digital design tools to replace missing teeth or fill gaps, following clinical specifications.

• Download all incoming case submissions from internal platforms or third-party portals.
• Log case data into internal tracking systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Rename and organize files according to internal naming conventions and folder structures for easy retrieval.

• Design and finalize printable dental models using CAD software, ensuring precision and quality.
• Collate models for batch processing, adhering to case requirements and design standards.
• Nest models effectively within 3D printing software to maximize material efficiency and minimize production time.

• Prepare and schedule printing batches across various printing technologies (3D, laser, and thermal).
• Generate detailed work tickets for each case, including material requirements and production steps.
• Monitor shipping logs daily to flag and escalate any potential delays or issues in delivery.

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Exocad, 3Shape, or similar dental design tools).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design verification tools is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of 3D printing processes and file nesting techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and experience handling large volumes of digital files.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with daily deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and file management habits.
• Prior experience in dental technology, dental labs, or digital dentistry is highly preferred.
