Our client is a highly regarded Tier 3 commercial builder with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across a diverse range of sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing and delivering future projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who enjoys working autonomously, taking ownership of the tendering process from start to finish while being supported by an experienced Estimating Manager and leadership team.

The Opportunity

As the Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the full tender process, ensuring submissions are competitive, accurate and commercially sound. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop winning bids and contribute to the ongoing success of the business.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the pricing and tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission.
• Review tender documentation and distribute information to relevant subcontractors and suppliers.
• Measure and scope trade packages accurately.
• Call for quotations and actively follow up subcontractors to ensure competitive coverage.
• Assess, compare and vet subcontractor quotations.
• Formulate and compile complete bid pricing submissions.
• Present tender recommendations and pricing strategies to the Estimating Manager and Managing Director.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market rates and construction costs.
• Assist in identifying opportunities, risks and value engineering options throughout the tender process.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• 3-5 years of proven estimating and tendering experience within a commercial construction environment.
• Strong experience pricing Tier 3 commercial projects.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, trade scopes and market rates.
• The ability to accurately measure and quantify all trade packages.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen.
• The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work independently.
• A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of projects.
