The Role: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by assessing, treating, and managing respiratory disorders. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans, advocate for patient needs, and promote optimal respiratory health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy treatments and assessment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and management.
Requirements:
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license.
- Must have successful completion of an accredited program of Respiratory Therapy.
- Current certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- Experience in an acute care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits:
- PEI: $90 - $95/hr ($50 per diem)
- SK: $75 - $80/hr ($50 per diem)
Regarding
overtime hours, you will receive
1.5 times the pay if you work more than 88 hours in a two-week pay period.
You also get paid
statutory holiday pay at 1.5 times the rate if you work on a statutory holiday during your contract.
We also offer amazing bonus opportunities through our
sign-up bonus program. - If you complete a three-month contract successfully, you will get a $250 sign-up bonus at the end of the contract.
- If you complete a six-month contract, you will get a $500 bonus at the end of the contract.
- There is also a referral bonus. If you refer a candidate to us and they successfully complete a contract with Goodwill by completing 31 shifts in their first contract, you will be eligible to receive a $500 referral bonus for each candidate you refer.
