As an RN or LPN in the Med-Surg Unit, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced environment. You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. Your role is essential in ensuring patient well-being and recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to determine patient conditions and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic data.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding medical conditions and treatments.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
Requirements: - Current, unrestricted RN or LPN license in your province.
- Diploma or degree in Nursing.
- BLS certification (ACLS/PALS preferred for RNs).
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Med/Surg setting.
