As a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Mental Health unit, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health conditions. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will support patient recovery, assist in implementing care plans, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment within the unit.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' health status, including vital signs, medication administration, and adherence to treatment plans.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Advocate for patient needs, assisting in addressing any ethical or patient rights concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation complies with established policies.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted LPN license in the province.
• Minimum of 2 years Canadian experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in critical thinking and time management skills, suited to a dynamic, patient-centered environment.

Must have active PEI License.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay Rate: $60 - $62/hr
Per Diem: $50 per working day
  
Travel and Accommodation covered
$500 Referral fee; T&C applies
$250 for 3 months completion bonus
$500 for 6 months completion bonus
