As an LPN in the Acute Care Medical-Surgical Unit, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical needs. This role involves close monitoring, administering treatments, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and health. Your expertise will be essential in creating a safe, responsive, and patient-centered environment for individuals dealing with acute conditions and post-surgical care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, high-quality care to patients, managing both acute and stable medical-surgical conditions in accordance with care plans and best practices.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize any changes in patient condition, escalating as needed.
- Administer medications, wound care, and other treatments, while assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures as required.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and adapt individualized care plans for each patient.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and preventive health practices to promote recovery and overall well-being.
- Maintain a safe and organized environment, following all clinical protocols, infection control measures, and unit procedures.
Requirements:
- 2 years of ER experience is required within the last 5 years.
- Current and active BLS is required.
- Current and active CTAS is required.
- Current and active ACLS is required.
- Will be required to help in acute care (med/surg) when operationally required.
- Candidate must be available for a minimum of 12 weeks.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Rate: $45-65/hr
$500 Referral fee; T&C applies
$250 for 3 months completion bonus
$500 for 6 months completion bonus
