As a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg, ER, and Obstetrics (OBS) units, you will deliver compassionate and comprehensive patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with acute medical conditions as well as those requiring obstetric care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct rapid assessments to determine the urgency and severity of injuries or illnesses in both emergency and obstetric settings.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians or advanced practice providers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and document vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests with meticulous attention to detail.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients across Med/Surg, ER, and OBS.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff, following infection control standards and safety protocols.
Requirements: - 2 years acute care med/surg experience is required within the last 5 years.
- Current and active BLS-HCP is required.
- 1 year ER and Obstetrics experience is preferred.
