As a Registered Nurse in Hemodialysis, you will provide specialized care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will be responsible for monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis, ensuring safety and comfort while supporting their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-dialysis assessments, including checking vital signs and reviewing patient history.
- Set up and operate dialysis equipment, ensuring patient-specific treatment parameters are met.
- Monitor patients during dialysis, addressing any complications or reactions promptly.
- Administer prescribed medications and accurately document care in health records.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis treatment, self-care, and nutritional needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care plans and outcomes.
Requirements: - Current, unrestricted RN license in your province.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Hemodialysis.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French (spoken and written).
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and their families.
