We are hiring for a company in the metal fabricating industry with an immediate opening for a Shop Supervisor in Brampton, ON. 
 
Start Date: Immediately 
Shift: M-F 6:00am-5:00pm
Location: Brampton, ON
Rate: $35/hour
 
Responsibilities: 

• Oversee daily fabrication shop operations, workflow, and production schedules to ensure targets and deadlines are met
• Supervise, coach, and support fabrication staff, including scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance management 
•  Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), conduct quality inspectors, and ensure all fabrication meets company, regulatory, and safety standards 
• Interpret blueprints (Imperial & Metric) and provide technical guidance on welding, fitting, and fabrication processes
• Troubleshoot equipment and welding issues while ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed. 
• Manage shop inventory, supplies, and procurement planning to prevent shortages or delays 
• Maintain accurate production and inventory records using Microsoft Office tools
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement 

Requirements:

• CWB Certified Weld Supervisor (CSA W47.1 and W47.2)
• Valid CWB tickets in GMAW. SMAW, GTAW, and TIG processes 
• Minimum 10 years of welding experience 
• Strong blueprint reading proficiency
• Solid knowledge of aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel alloys
• Understanding of galvanizing, powder coating, and anodizing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
