We are hiring for a transportation/trucking company with an immediate opening for an Billing Lead Hand in Mississauga, ON.

Start Date: Immediately
Shift: Monday to Friday, 4:30 pm to 12:30 am (potentially 1:00 am)
Location: Bramalea Rd & Derry Rd
Rate: $47,500 annual

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and step in to cover the following roles as needed:

• Driver Check-in: Verify driver schedules, log arrivals and departures, and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
• Scanning: Handle the scanning of shipment documents, ensuring all items are correctly labeled and tracked in the system for accurate record-keeping.
• Manifesting: Prepare and manage manifests for outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation aligns with company and regulatory requirements.
• Data Entry – Billing: Accurately enter billing information into the system, verify data for completeness, and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Review billing errors with staff: Identify and resolve billing errors by collaborating with team members, providing constructive feedback, and implementing corrective measures to improve accuracy.

2. Lead by example to supervise the afternoon shift team effectively.
3. Assist the current Billing Supervisor with tasks and projects as required.
4. Foster team growth and maintain a productive working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a billing role, preferably in a logistics environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
• Detail-oriented and capable of identifying and resolving errors efficiently.
• Eager to learn and grow within the company, with potential for career advancement.
