SCEE is seeking motivated and safety-focused Electrical Trade Assistants to support the delivery of the Firmus Southgate Electrical Main Works package, a large-scale data centre development in Launceston, Tasmania. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a project delivering critical electrical, communications and fibre optic infrastructure while working alongside experienced Electricians and construction professionals.

• $5.00/hr Site Allowance (flat)
• $200/week Project Payment (conditions apply)

About the Project
SCEE is responsible for delivering key electrical systems that support the operation of this world-class data centre, including power distribution systems, lighting infrastructure, communications and fibre optic networks, earthing and lightning protection systems, and underground and above-ground cable containment systems.
About the Role
As an Electrical Trade Assistant, you'll play an important role supporting Electricians across a range of installation and construction activities while helping deliver the project safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with cable pulling, cable containment and equipment installation.
• Support conduit, cable tray and cable ladder installation works.
• Assist with earthing and lightning protection system installation.
• Perform material handling, housekeeping and site preparation duties.
• Carry out Spotter and Fire Watch responsibilities as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment and safe access to work areas.
• Follow site safety procedures, Take 5s and JSAs.
• Report hazards, incidents and safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
Essential
• Construction White Card
• Current Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Desirable
• Previous Electrical Trade Assistant experience within construction, industrial or major project environments
• EWP / WP Licence
• Working at Heights
