We are seeking an experienced Completions Superintendent to join our team on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Newcastle. This is a full-time, project-based contract opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a landmark renewable energy development.

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will lead the completions process, ensuring all electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee contractor performance and ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, company standards, Australian Standards, and the project schedule. Working closely with construction and commissioning teams, you will help drive the project through to a successful completion.

In addition, some of your key tasks will include;

• Ensuring test packs are created in a timely fashion to meet the commissioning needs of the project
• Collating all of the documentation for the MDR for progressive handover by system, work-pack and area to the client to meet contractual obligations.
• Ensure notice of all commissioning activities is provided to the client in a timely manner as required by the contract to facilitate witnessing of testing and commissioning activities in line with the ITP requirements
• Provide support to the supervisor when required through the provision of direct field supervision, quality monitoring, coordination of workface construction activities and providing feedback for timesheets and installed quantities reporting

About You 
To be successful in this role, you will bring solid experience as a Completions Superintendent on major energy, infrastructure, or heavy construction projects, with a demonstrated ability to drive completions activities through to commissioning and handover. You will also have a strong understanding of Australian Standards, project delivery, constructability, WHS, environmental, and community requirements.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:  

• NSW Electrical Licence
• Strong understanding of executing work-packs
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, drawings and specifications.
• Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to direct and coordinate a range of people to meet project objectives
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, multitask, prioritise your own workload and work unsupervised as required
