About the Role
We are looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our team on a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System Project located in Newcastle on a full-time project-based contract basis. Reporting to the Site Manager you will oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of project materials. You will collaborate closely with procurement, logistics and construction teams to ensure materials are available in line with project schedule and requirements.
In addition, some of your key tasks will include;
- Manage receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams for timely material delivery.
- Communicate material status to project stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare regular inventory reports.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Identify and implement process improvements for material management efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will bring your extensive experience coordinating materials within electrical construction or renewable energy projects, along with strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following;
- Well established experience in materials handling and Logistics of Large Construction Projects.
- Ability to liaise with Sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
