About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in our Perth Head Office on a Full-Time basis. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for leading the preparation, review and coordination of major tender submissions. You will be required to provide technical leadership and mentoring to estimators and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure estimates are aligned with scope, schedule, contractual requirements and safe profitable project outcomes.
In addition some of your key tasks will include;
- Compile / review estimates and quotes as directed by the Estimating Manager.
- Preparation of tender submission documents and ensure that work method statements and construction schedules are consistent with the proposal, and with the client’s criteria.
- Participate in the development and implementation of proposal strategies and ensure this is included in the submitted bid.
- Liaise closely with operational teams and clients to ensure projects are properly scoped and prepared.
- Provide timely reports regarding estimating and bid risks that need to be mitigated.
- Participate in the estimate handover including estimate plans, specifications, and schedule with the Project Manager after award of project.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will possess a minimum of five years’ experience in a Senior Estimator role, supported by an electrical trade qualification, electrical engineering qualification, or a relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management. You will demonstrate a strong track record in the preparation of accurate estimates, as well as in negotiating and successfully securing new electrical and instrumentation projects, primarily within the resources, mining, oil and gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
Previous experience working with an established electrical contractor will be highly regarded. Additionally, you will exhibit exceptional organisational skills, with the proven ability to effectively prioritise competing tasks and consistently meet deadlines within a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

- High level attention to detail
- Strong commercial understanding of project costing, scheduling and delivery
- Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong numerical, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Proven capability to lead end to end tender activities
- Strong leadership skills
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- High level computer literacy with a focus on MS Excel
- Have significant experience using electrical estimating software packages such as WinEstimator
