About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our project controls team in our Head Office located in Perth’s CBD on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, you be responsible for the accurate compilation, interpretation, and reporting of project cost, progress, schedule, and earned value data to support successful project delivery.
In addition some of your key tasks will include;
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools focused on cost, schedule, and earned value performance.
- Manage the project controls reporting portfolio, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and consistency.
- Set up, configure, and maintain project controls systems (including InEight) for new and existing projects.
- Ensure effective integration between cost, schedule (e.g. Primavera P6), and financial systems.
- Maintain accurate, reliable, and well-structured project controls data to support reporting and analysis.
- Lead cost tracking and forecasting activities across the project lifecycle.
About You
To be successful in this position you will have at least 3 years’ experience as a Cost Controller working on large scale construction projects, ideally, within the resources mining or heavy construction industry. You will be able to demonstrate your excellent communication and influencing skills as well as your high-level attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications (Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction industry practices and contracts.
- Proven experience in cost management, forecasting, and earned value management.
- Working knowledge of project scheduling principles and tools (e.g. Primavera P6).
- Advanced computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using InEight project controls software will be highly regarded.
