About the Role SCEE Electrical are looking for skilled and experienced Civil Engineers to join our project team based in Newcastle, reporting to the project Package Manager.
As a civil Engineer with us you will play a crucial role in successful project execution and be responsible for providing engineering support and assistance to our project teams and to assist with engineering duties as required to ensure successful project outcomes.
Some of your key tasks will include:
- Coordinating with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- On site subcontractor management.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Review, create, issue and follow up all requests for information (RFI’s)
- Review, create, issue and follow up all Field Change Documents (FCD’s)
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with Australian codes and standards.
About You To be successful in this position you will hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and have at least 3 years’ experience within the construction industry working on large-scale industrial or energy projects.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Good understanding of project control systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interpret the Project Contractual requirements
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong organisational skills and a high-level attention to detail
- Well-developed numeracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high functioning team.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards
