About the Role We are looking for an experienced Pre Contracts Planner to join our team in our Perth Head Office on a Full-Time basis. Reporting to the Estimating and Development Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Estimating team to create tender schedules and then following successful project award, convert the tender schedules to baseline construction schedules in conjunction with the project controls and operations teams
In addition some of your key tasks will include;
- Create resource loaded tender schedules in collaboration with Estimators and the estimate using the WINEST data for direct scope and tender summary as well as engaging with subcontractors to schedule and logic link their scope of work into the SCEE schedule, where necessary.
- Ensure all installation components are mapped to specific schedule activities mapping P6 activity IDs to estimate line items and key commodities.
- Ensure contract requirements, key milestone dates are included within schedules.
- Work with project Controls team to produce upload files for InEight with all necessary mapping and coding and run balance and checks to ensure original budgets are aligned between P6 and InEight, prior to work commencing on site.
- Ensure robust management of change is followed and full auditable trail of any changes to the schedule revisions is documented and stored throughout the lifecycle of the tender.
About You To be successful in this position you will have at least 5 years’ experience as a Pre Contracts Planner, with a relevant tertiary qualification. Your previous experience working for an electrical contractor in the resources industry will be highly regarded, as will your ability to effectively prioritise and manage deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following;
- High level attention to detail
- Strong commercial understanding of project costing, scheduling and delivery
- Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong leadership skills
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- High level computer literacy with a focus on MS Excel
- Have significant experience using planning software packages such as P6
