About the role
SCEE Electrical is seeking expressions of interest from passionate, safety-focused individuals for a challenging and rewarding upcoming project in Karratha! The project will be completed over an 18-month period involving shutdowns periods for the change out and tie-ins of new upgraded conveyors, drives, chutes, switch rooms and associated infrastructure.
As a Senior Planner, some of your key tasks will include:
- The creation of schedule WBS in consultation with Construction team.
- Develop and revise the baseline construction program in the form of a critical path method time scaled network using Primavera P6, with all constraints, milestones, activity relationships, dependencies and float clearly shown.
- Maintain the contract schedule of works identifying undesirable trends in productivity and opportunities for optimization of the works.
- Ensure project and tender schedules are fully aligned with estimate original budget hours and InEight original budget hours.
- Drive four-week look ahead schedule reviews, on a weekly frequency, with construction team to ensure plans are realistic and achievable.
About You
To be successful in this position you will have at least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Planning role within the construction industry, and hold tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering, or another related field. You will be highly proficient in the use of P6 with strong knowledge of planning practices, standards, systems and processes as well as being able to demonstrate your excellent communication and influencing skills and high-level attention to detail and compliance.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience in cost forecasting and ensuring planned work is within the completion date of the project and the scheduled timing and costs are compatible with the work plan.
- Understanding and experience in critical pathway analysis.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Well-developed numeracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high functioning team.
