Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee and manage accounting operations for their business setup division. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical accounting skills, capable of ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the business setup division.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in accounting systems.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced.
• Monitor and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE tax/VAT regulations.
• Prepare and submit VAT filings and other regulatory reports.
• Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders as required.
• Supervise and guide junior accounting staff where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional qualification like ACCA, CPA, CMA preferred).
• Proven accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a business setup or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, tax compliance, and IFRS.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
