Our client is seeking an Offshore VAT Associate to assist with VAT compliance, reporting, and client advisory support. This role is ideal for an accounting or finance professional with a strong interest in tax who is eager to expand their expertise in the UAE VAT framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns for clients.
• Assist in VAT registration and deregistration processes.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for client VAT accounts.
• Assist in preparing VAT refund and penalty reconsideration applications.
• Review client documentation to ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Respond to client queries under the guidance of senior tax staff.
• Stay updated on the latest VAT rules and practices in the UAE.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security standards in all processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance VAT knowledge.
• Perform other duties as directed by the VAT Manager to support department goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Part-qualified or pursuing a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a VAT or tax-related role.
• Strong knowledge of tax, financial accounting, and compliance matters.
• Experience in financial advisory or related financial services is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, commitment to high personal standards, and strong client service skills.
• Ability to comply with tax laws and obligations while working to set standards of performance.
• Proficient in English with excellent communication skills.
