We are seeking a Senior VAT Advisor to join our client’s growing Tax & Accounting team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of clients, provide expert guidance on UAE tax matters, ensure compliance, and lead a high-performing team while contributing to process improvement and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage client portfolios and advise on appropriate Tax, Accounting, and Compliance services.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster long-term client relationships.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of UAE Tax regulations and position yourself as a credible subject matter expert.
• Represent the company professionally in all client interactions and engagements.
• Develop tax-related policies and procedures, ensuring adequate resources and high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor tax reporting and planning to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Achieve individual KPIs and contribute to department targets.
• Review company and client tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
• Suggest and implement improvements in company tax procedures to increase efficiency and compliance.
• Manage a team responsible for VAT returns, tax registration, deregistration, and other related engagements.
• Develop and maintain effective control procedures across the full tax lifecycle, updating when necessary.
• Review client VAT registration/deregistration applications and voluntary disclosures.
• File VAT refund applications, penalty waivers, and reconsideration requests on behalf of clients.
• Mentor and guide junior tax team members to enhance effectiveness and team performance.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the manager to support department objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Tax.
• Member of a recognized professional body of accountants.
• Registered UAE Tax Agent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience, with at least 3 years in the UAE.
• Proven experience in tax and financial advisory roles.
• Strong command of UAE Tax Laws and IFRS.
• Skilled in financial advisory, compliance, and reporting standards.
• Proficient in handling tax laws, financial procedures, and client engagements.
• Familiar with tax-related service delivery standards and performance metrics.
