Managing Director – Shipbroker
Piraeus, Greece

A newly established shipbroking business is opening its doors in Greece, backed by founders with live client relationships and cargo ready to move from day one. This is the first hire into the company: the person who will set the culture, win business, and build the desk from the ground up. If you have ever wanted to run the show rather than inherit someone else's, this is that role.

THE ROLE

• You will lead the business end to end, reporting directly to the founders. That means brokering deals yourself while building the team and shaping how the desk operates.
• Work an existing pipeline of client relationships, with early cargo flow in grain and oil seeds
• Build and lead the broking team as the business scales
• Own commercial strategy and desk culture across dry bulk and tankers
• This is a build-it role, not a maintain-it role. The upside and the responsibility both sit with you.

THE RIGHT PERSON

• A broker with real desk experience from either the dry bulk or the wet/tanker side; any vessel size is welcome on both
• Either a senior figure ready to put that experience into building something of their own, or an experienced broker ready to step up and run an office for the first time
• Open to candidates already in Greece or those looking to relocate. Candidates with the existing right to work in the EU are preferred, but we are open to sponsoring work visas for exceptional international applicants. There is room for some flexibility and remote working once established

• You get a clean slate, cargo on day one, and a founding stake in how the business grows, with an expansion roadmap already mapped. Few broking roles offer this much ownership this early.
