Service Engineer - Electrical
Singapore

A Danish marine-technology company is expanding its Singapore operation and needs a Service Engineer to support its systems across the region. The business builds environmental compliance technology used on vessels worldwide, and this hire will be central to keeping that equipment running at sea. It is a hands-on role for someone who wants to solve real technical problems onboard rather than from behind a desk.

THE ROLE

• You will attend vessels across the region to commission, service, and troubleshoot environmental systems, working directly with crews to get equipment back to full performance. Expect a mix of onboard diagnostics, electrical fault-finding, and full-system problem solving where you own the outcome. Vessel attendance means regional travel and, at times, hours that follow the demands of the job rather than a fixed schedule.

THE RIGHT PERSON

• Service experience onboard vessels, ideally with ballast water treatment and/or scrubber systems; hands-on electrical troubleshooting is essential
• Comfortable with commissioning, system integrity, and diagnosing a system as a whole; formal engineering education is welcome but strong practical experience counts for more
• Clear communicator who works well alongside crew and colleagues
