Salling Search is partnering with a leading global shipping company at an exciting stage of growth to expand their Legal team in Singapore. We are seeking a Paralegal with experience in sale and purchase transactions, financing, and compliance to support the team in managing complex legal and commercial matters.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide transactional support to the Legal team, including drafting, reviewing, and executing sale and financing agreements.
• Liaise with Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Projects teams to plan and execute transactions effectively.
• Act as a point of contact with internal stakeholders and external parties, such as advisors, brokers, and legal counsel.
• Prepare for and attend transaction closings, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Draft and review NDAs, service agreements, and other commercial contracts.
• Conduct KYC and AML checks on counterparties in line with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain up-to-date corporate records and manage required regulatory filings.
• Track and monitor legal and compliance deadlines, including corporate obligations and regulatory renewals.
• Organise legal documentation and maintain internal contract and transaction trackers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Maritime Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Approximately 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably in shipping, commodities, or international trade, with exposure to: Sale & Purchase (S&P) transactions, Ship financing transactions, KYC/AML compliance screening.
• Familiarity with maritime legal documentation and procedures required by international ship registries.
• Strong legal drafting skills with excellent attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
