Vessel Operator – Tankers

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Vessel Operator to join our client's Singapore team. The role focuses entirely on the day-to-day operations of product tankers, ensuring smooth voyage execution, safe practices, and compliance with international shipping standards. This is a hands-on position within a growing trading environment, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and detail-oriented role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end vessel operations for product tankers.
• Coordinate with shipowners, masters, agents, terminals, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo operations.
• Monitor voyage performance, schedule adherence, and operational costs.
• Handle bunker arrangements, port calls, documentation, and operational reporting.
• Ensure strict compliance with international maritime regulations and HSE requirements.
• Resolve operational issues or delays efficiently.
• Provide accurate voyage updates to internal stakeholders (trading, risk, finance teams).
• Stay updated on port restrictions, local regulations, and industry developments.

Requirements:

• Relevant educational background in Maritime Studies, Shipping, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in tanker vessel operations (products or chemicals preferred).
• Strong understanding of voyage operations, documentation, and compliance processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple operations simultaneously.
• Prior experience in a trading, ship owning, or ship management environment is an advantage.
• Experience with IMOS would be advantages.
