Salling Search is assisting an international freight forwarding company to look for an experienced Sales Manager to join their team in Europe in expanding their customer base and market presence.

This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a flexible environment, are motivated by results, and have a strong customer network within the freight forwarding industry.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and grow a portfolio of direct shipper clients with regular shipments between Europe and Asia.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing tailored solutions that meet their freight needs.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies to stay competitive and maximise profitability.
• Meet and exceed agreed sales targets through consistent prospecting, networking, and account management.

Key Requirements:

• Proven track record of generating business in international freight forwarding (air or ocean).
• Existing network of direct customers (shippers) that ship between Europe and Asia.
• Has experience with small to mid-sized forwarders. 
• Strong business development and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals independently.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: self-driven and proactive. 
• Excellent communication skills in English (additional European/Asian languages a plus).
