Our Home: Our Groundwater Lodge community is set in the heart of our well preserved colonial architectural town of Maryborough. Our 57 bed home is divided into smaller households that mirror the look and rhythm of home with vast communal areas where our residents can enjoy their own homestyle lounge, dining and kitchen areas with a private backyard for their established gardens and veggie patches.

This is a part-time role of 62.7 hours per fortnight on a fixed-term contract to cover Planner maternity leave for a period of five months, from 21 December 2025 to 22 May 2026. Ongoing employment will be considered and discussed leading up to the contract expiry date.
 
The Role: As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our residents. You will coordinate and manage care plans, supervise care staff, and ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards. This role involves direct care responsibilities, collaboration with allied health professionals, and a strong focus on enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide resident-centred care in accordance with care plans and individual preferences.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans in consultation with residents.
• Supervise and mentor personal care staff to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
• Manage clinical procedures within your scope of practice and organizational policies.
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and safety regulations.
• Liaise with medical and allied health professionals to ensure seamless care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse qualification and AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential aged care setting (2 years preferred).
• NDIS Worker Clearance - MANDATORY https://workerscreening.dsdsatsip.qld.gov.au/
• Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and commitment to resident-first care.
• An understanding of the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)
• A passion for delivering a person-centred approach to care
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Compassionate and Empathetic nature
