Yaralla Place is located in the heart of historic Maryborough, surrounded by beautifully preserved colonial architecture and only a short drive from Queensland’s pristine beaches and stunning Hervey Bay.
Our 96-bed home is designed around a household model, creating a warm and familiar environment where residents enjoy homestyle lounge, dining, and kitchen spaces, along with private backyards perfect for gardens and veggie patches. It’s aged care that truly feels like home.

The Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. You will oversee clinical care, coordinate and review care plans, supervise and guide Personal Care Workers, and ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards. Your leadership and compassion will contribute to a safe, positive, and empowering environment for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, resident-centred care aligned with individual needs and preferences
• Complete holistic assessments and develop tailored care plans
• Supervise, mentor, and support Personal Care Workers
• Deliver clinical care including wound care, medication management, and palliative care
• Liaise with GPs, specialists, and allied health providers
• Maintain compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, SIRS, and WHS requirements
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation

Qualifications & Experience

• Registered Nurse qualification + current AHPRA registration (mandatory)
• 1+ years' experience in residential aged care (2 years preferred)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and SIRS
• Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
• Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to person-centred care
