The Role: As a Support Services Worker in our Aged Care home, you will play an important role in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals and contributing to a warm and welcoming dining experience for our residents. Through your work in the kitchen and dining areas, you’ll help support resident health, dignity, and enjoyment, while building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues. Your role reflects our values of respect, compassion, and excellence.

What you will do:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards
• Support the Chef with meal planning, preparation, plating, and portion control
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, food storage, and dining areas
• Wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and follow daily cleaning checklists
• Help with the setup and service of meals to residents in dining rooms or individual rooms
• Ensure all kitchen and food safety regulations are followed, including correct storage and labelling
• Communicate any dietary concerns, resident feedback, or safety issues to relevant staff  

What you will bring: 

• Currently hold an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) – MANDATORY https://www.workerscreening.qld.gov.au/
• Valid Working rights in Australia - MANDATORY
• Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and Empathy
• An understanding of resident rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes (highly regarded but not essential)
