If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Nanyima Aged Care Home, part of Apollo Care, is looking for a dedicated Permanent Full Time Cook/Chef to join our team. In this role, you will help provide high-quality, home-style meals that cater to the preferences and dietary needs of our residents.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparation of fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals for our residents
• Supporting menu planning that aligns with dietary guidelines and individual needs
• Ensuring food is prepared and served safely, following hygiene and food safety standards
• Engaging with residents to understand their preferences and create a dining experience they love
• Working closely with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth, efficient food service

Our Home: To offer a more personal living experience, our 51-bed community is divided into smaller households and plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy. Nanyima is just a 30-minute drive from Mackay, nestled amongst sugarcane plantations and sugar mills, and is close to beautiful rainforests and national parks.

To be successful you’ll need:

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery - MANDATORY
• A ability to work collaboratively with the team and engage positively with residents.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia – MANDATORY.
• An NDIS Worker Check – Mandatory
• A passion for cooking and creating enjoyable meal experiences
• Experience in a kitchen environment 
• A commitment to food safety and hygiene standards
• To be a team player with great communication skills
• Have compassion and Empathy
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
