Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Consulting Architect (Data Specialist) to join our team. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong consulting experience, including facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders to align business needs with data strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, strategy, and architecture, with the ability to design, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide data frameworks. The role requires both technical expertise and strategic acumen to ensure data integrity, compliance, and effective use of data assets across the organisation.
As a platform-agnostic consultancy, we focus on delivering solutions tailored to client needs rather than specific vendor experiences. True architecture is at the core of our business, ensuring successful outcomes for our clients by approaching challenges through a customer lens and treating data as a strategic asset.
Key Responsibilities

- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and data life-cycle concerns dictated by legislation, regulatory frameworks, or internal standards.
- Define and maintain enterprise and domain data models.
- Be familiar with data-modelling practices, including principles, management rules, and modelling tools.
- Oversee the design and optimisation of data integration patterns (including event-driven, streaming, pipelines, and ETL/ELT) for efficient data sharing and transformation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategy with business and IT priorities.
- Assess and recommend cloud technologies for optimal data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Provide strategic guidance on data governance, data strategy, and best practices, ensuring businesses can harness the power of their data effectively.
- Experience in Centres of Excellence and Communities of Practice within organisations.
- Assist clients in governing their data effectively, ensuring it leads to better business strategy and decision-making.
Key Skills & Experience Required - Proven experience in Data Architecture and Governance, preferably in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, metadata management, and data cataloging.
- Hands-on experience with various data-integration tools, services, and methodologies for data transfer and transformation.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data platform solutions.
- Understanding of how to govern data effectively to drive business value.
- Ability to support the creation of Centres of Excellence and Communities of Practice for data strategy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in complex data ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications in Data Architecture, Governance, or Cloud Technologies are advantageous.
