Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Consulting Architect (Data Specialist) to join our team.
This is a customer-facing role that requires strong consulting experience, including facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders to align business needs with data strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, strategy, and architecture, with the ability to design, implement, and oversee enterprise-wide data frameworks. The role requires both technical expertise and strategic acumen to ensure data integrity, compliance, and effective use of data assets across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and data life-cycle concerns as dictated by legislation, regulatory frameworks, or internal standards.
- Define and maintain enterprise data models, including canonical and domain models.
- Be familiar with good data-modelling practices, including principles, management rules, and modelling tools.
- Oversee the design and optimisation of data integration patterns (including event-driven, streaming, pipelines, and ETL/ELT) for efficient data sharing and transformation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align data strategy with business and IT priorities.
- Assess and recommend cloud technologies for optimal data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Provide strategic guidance on data management best practices and industry trends.
- Mentor teams and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organisation.
Key Skills & Experience Required - Proven experience in Data Architecture and Governance, preferably in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, metadata management, and data cataloging.
- Hands-on experience with various data-integration tools, services, and methodologies for data transfer and transformation.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data platform solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in complex data ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications in Data Architecture, Governance, or Cloud Technologies are advantageous.
