Credit Operations Team Lead (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

We're looking for a collaborative and commercially minded Credit Operations Team Lead to join our Operations team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to step into operational leadership, broaden their experience and work closely with leaders across Sales, Credit and Operations to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
As the operational link between Sales and Credit Operations, you'll keep applications moving, remove roadblocks, support the team through operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve how we work. You'll influence outcomes, build strong stakeholder relationships and play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a seamless lending experience.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinate daily workflow and application queues to ensure SLAs are achieved
• Act as the first point of contact for operational escalations
• Build trusted relationships across Sales, Credit, Customer Care and Operations
• Support the team through peak periods by leading from the front
• Identify process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer experience
• Analyse operational data and reporting to drive informed decisions
• Support the rollout of new processes and operational initiatives
• Ensure operational quality, compliance and risk controls are maintained
• Foster a collaborative, customer first culture while influencing positive outcomes.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, bringing people together and making operations run more effectively.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience leading or coordinating operational workflows in a fast paced environment
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
• Experience managing operational escalations and making sound decisions under pressure
• A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Strong analytical skills with confidence using Excel for reporting and analysis
• High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
• Experience within lending, banking or financial services
• A hands on leadership style with a willingness to support the team wherever needed.
