About the Role

This is a National HSE Manager role reporting to the Head of Safety & Compliance, responsible for driving Health, Safety and Environmental outcomes across a multi-site, national operation.

You will partner closely with operational leaders to embed safety into day-to-day activities, ensuring consistency in systems and practices while maintaining compliance within an ISO-accredited environment. 

This is not a "sit behind your desk writing policies" health and safety role - It's a hands-on role requiring regular site visits and strong engagement with stakeholders across all levels of the business.

Day to day you will

• Partner with operational leaders to provide HSE support and guidance across sites
• Complete 40-50 visits annually - prioritising higher risk sites, with quarterly interstate travel required
• Drive consistent implementation of HSE systems, policies and procedures - and a safety culture throughout the business
• Lead incident investigations and manage corrective actions
• Support audit programs and ISO recertification activities
• Monitor safety performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
• Management of one director report - HSE Advisor
• Support injury management and return-to-work processes
• Build strong relationships across operational and leadership teams

About You

• Proven experience in a National or multi-site HSE leadership role
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 45001)
• Experience working in operational environments such as Security, Facilities Management, Transport, Logistics, Retail or similar
• Ability to influence and partner with operational stakeholders
• Experience managing incident investigations, audits, and risk frameworks
• Confident engaging across all levels, including senior leadership
• Resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Relevant qualification in WHS - Diploma or higher preferred
