We’re partnering with a leading fintech based in the heart of Sydney CBD, recognised as one of Australia’s Top 5 Employers for three consecutive years, to appoint a Senior Cyber Security Enginner.

The Role As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you’ll be a key technical authority responsible for strengthening the organisation’s cyber security capability and protecting sensitive customer data. This business is going through a maturity uplift so there is plenty of opportunity to design strategy and get stuck into foundational security work.
Key responsibilities include:
Working closely with the Head of Technology to create and maintain cyber securitystrategy
Stay across emerging threats and technologies providing thought leadership to strengthen the organisational resilience
Managing and enhancing SIEM platforms to monitor security events and improve threat detection accuracy
Improving and governing PII (Personally Identifiable Information) processes
Implementing and supporting Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, with Microsoft Purview experience highly desirable
Providing expert input into security best practice, controls, policy, and incident response
About You
Proven experience in a senior cyber security or security engineering role
Strong hands-on experience with SIEM technologies and security monitoring
Excellent communicator with the ability to deliver strategy to executives and Board members
Solid understanding of data protection, privacy, and PII management
Experience with Microsoft Purview or other DLP tools (highly regarded)
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Ideally you'll have experience within an AWS environment, knowledgeable across network fundamentals.
