WorkTrybe is partnering with a well-established and fast growing Australian electrical manufacturer to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator - Switchboards.

The role
  
We are recruiting for a Electrical Estimator working heavily across switchboards, where you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive estimates across a diverse range of switchboard projects. You will work closely with internal engineering and sales teams, as well as external suppliers and clients, playing a key role in securing new work and supporting continued growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and compliance requirements
• Ensuring all estimates comply with AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000, and Victorian SIRs
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors
• Providing technical input to sales and engineering teams
• Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing
• Delivering estimates within defined deadlines

About You

You are an estimator with experience in switchboards or the electrical contracting industry and a focus on quality and accuracy.

You will bring:

• 2–5 years’ experience in switchboards or the electrical contracting industry
• Strong knowledge of switchboard construction, compliance standards, and industry best practices
• Proficiency in estimating tools and Excel (SimPRO or similar systems highly regarded)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• A positive, team-oriented attitude aligned with values of Quality, Excellence, Accountability, Collaboration, Teamwork, and Positive Attitude
