Background in a unionised, blue collar or labour hire environment required to succeed in the role

Based at brand new offices in Port Melbourne - 5 days in the office - with the option of hybrid working at 3-6months in the role
Paying between $120K-$140K+Super depending on experience

Joining a high-performing national P&C team and reporting into an experienced and supportive P&C Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone who’s ready to step up into a true business partnering role in a large, fast-paced, operational environment.

What you’ll be doing:
Partnering with operational leaders to coach, support, and advise on people-related matters
Driving ER/IR support, investigations, and performance processes
Championing systems and data integrity - WorkDay will be your go-to
Getting involved in key people projects and initiatives nationally
Promoting a positive, ethical workplace culture aligned with company values
What we’re looking for:
Ideally 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role within unionised organisations
Strong ER/IR understanding, ideally with experience in shift-based or award-covered environments
Extensive experience managing complex employee investigations and complaints
A background from a similar industry is highly desirable - retail, healthcare, logistics, facilities management, and blue collar environments are all really transferable sectors
Proven tenure in roles, progression and delivery of people projects in your previous companies
Confident communicator with a practical, down to earth style
Experience using Workday is a big advantage, or another HRIS
Resilience is key - you can have the tough conversations with respect and care, stay calm and positive
Someone who loves rolling up their sleeves, building relationships, and making things happen
A qualification in HR or a related discipline
