ROLE – Biomedical Engineer
  
SALARY - $100,000 - $130,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  
TYPE – Permanent
  
LOCATION – Adelaide, SA
  
My client develops and manufactures innovative medical devices and healthcare technologies. They are looking for a Biomedical Engineer to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis.
  
The Biomedical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar Biomedical Engineering or Medical Device role
• Degree qualified in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g. ISO 13485, TGA, FDA)
• Experience with product development, testing, and validation in a regulated environment
• Excellent hands-on skills with testing and assembly
• Knowledge of materials used in medical devices, including polymers, metals, and biocompatible materials
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor) for design and prototyping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience with risk management, verification, and validation processes
• Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
• Able to maintain technical documentation and design history files
• Able to work well individually as well as part of a multidisciplinary team

  
The Biomedical Engineer role will involve:

• Designing and developing medical devices from concept through to production
• Conducting testing, verification, and validation activities
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality
• Liaising with external suppliers and manufacturing partners
• Supporting clinical evaluations and usability studies where required
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and reports
• Updating designs based on testing feedback and regulatory requirements
• Participating in risk assessments and design reviews
• Working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment on innovative healthcare projects
