ROLE – Junior Mechanical Engineer
  
SALARY - $70,000 - $85,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  
TYPE – Permanent
  
LOCATION – Adelaide, SA
  
My client designs and manufactures a range of bespoke fabricated equipment. They are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis.
  
The Junior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Hold a qualification (Apprenticeship / Degree) in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• 0-2 years’ experience in a similar Mechanical Engineering, Drafting or CAD position
• Highly skilled with 2D CAD – AutoCAD
• Experience working in a workshop environment
• Experience working with machinery
• Welding and fabrication skills would be advantageous
• Able to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience maintaining drawing registers and document control systems
• Able to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team

  
The Junior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

• Creating 2D drawings and 3D models from engineering concepts
• Producing detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Being involved in final assembly
• Hands-on work with machinery and fabrication
• Updating and revising existing drawings and documentation
• Working closely with engineers to support design development
• Liaising with manufacturing teams and external suppliers
• Ensuring drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications
• Maintaining accurate records of drawings and revisions
• Assisting with BOM creation and updates
• Checking drawings prior to release for accuracy and completeness
• Supporting projects across the full design lifecycle
