Lead Control Systems Engineer | Brisbane | Global Projects | Site and Delivery Focus

We are working with a specialist engineering group delivering complex automation and control systems across mining, energy, and heavy industry.

They are looking for a Lead Control Systems Engineer who wants more than just design work. This role is suited to someone who takes ownership from concept through to commissioning and live site delivery.

This is for engineers who are comfortable being the technical authority on projects, not just contributing to parts of them.

What you will be doing

• Leading end to end delivery across PLC, SCADA and or DCS systems
• Acting as the technical lead on projects, both internally and client facing
• Driving design, documentation, FATs and commissioning
• Supporting international site work, typically short term rotations
• Mentoring junior engineers and lifting team capability
• Working across mining, energy and industrial environments

What we are looking for

• Strong hands on background in control systems engineering
• Experience across platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Yokogawa or similar
• Proven track record delivering projects through to commissioning
• Ability to operate under pressure and take technical ownership
• Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders
• Willingness to travel for site work when required

RPEQ or CPEng is advantageous but not essential.
