We’re partnering with a globally recognised deep-tech company, working at the intersection of software, cloud infrastructure and highly specialised scientific domains.
  
They’re scaling rapidly and investing heavily in strengthening its security capability, with a Cyber Security Engineer needed to play a hands-on role in elevating their security posture across cloud, infrastructure and application layers.
  
You’ll collaborate closely with cloud and platform engineers, influence software developers, and contribute to initiatives spanning AWS security, Kubernetes hardening, networking and secure SDLC practices.
  
DevSecOps Engineer Responsibilities

• Strengthening AWS environments through proactive hardening and security improvements
• Supporting Kubernetes and container security initiatives
• Driving vulnerability management processes and remediation strategies
• Partnering with engineering teams to ensure secure coding practices
• Contributing to improvements in overall security posture and cloud security architecture
• Working alongside compliance and risk stakeholders, without being purely compliance-driven
• Helping embed security into CI/CD workflows and modern DevOps practices
• There’s strong alignment with modern cloud-native practices (GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, containerised deployments), so familiarity with these environments will help you thrive.

  
DevSecOps Engineer Requirements

• Practical security engineering capability and the ability to operate in a modern cloud environment.
• Experience securing AWS environments (IAM, networking, hardening, monitoring)
• Exposure to Kubernetes and container security (or strong interest in learning)
• Vulnerability management and remediation experience
• Solid networking fundamentals and understanding of zero-trust concepts
• Some programming or scripting capability (Python, Go, Bash etc.)
• Cybersecurity certifications (desirable, not mandatory)
• Exposure to cloud-native tooling, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines or GitHub Actions
