About Your New Role
 
As an Import Officer at our Adelaide branch, you will play a vital role in our national procurement operations. This position is key to ensuring the seamless and cost-effective flow of imported goods into the business. Working closely with overseas vendors, freight forwarders, and internal teams, you will be responsible for maintaining end-to-end visibility over shipments, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across our supply chain.
 
This Is a Key Role Within the Business and Will Be Responsible For:

• Managing all import orders from placement through to delivery
• Coordinating with international suppliers and freight forwarders to track and manage shipments
• Ensuring timely and accurate customs documentation and compliance
• Collaborating with the finance team to manage and optimise landed costs
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing regular import activity reports
• Identifying and mitigating risks across the import process
• Supporting the implementation of process improvements for greater efficiency

• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure
• Commitment to delivering exceptional internal and external customer service

The Following Are Desirable:

• Previous experience in import operations, procurement, or logistics
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft D365
• Experience within industrial, mining, or manufacturing sectors
