About the role
 
Due to continuous growth Cooper Fluid Systems is seeking an experienced Sales Automation Engineer.  This role is pivotal to growing revenue in automation for both mobile and fixed plant applications, with a strong focus on mining clients. The ideal candidate will leverage existing customer relationships where we are recognized as Hydraulic & Lubrication Specialists to drive new business opportunities.
 
What you'll be doing

• Developing and executing strategies to grow revenue in automation for mobile and fixed plant applications.
• Working closely with existing customers to capitalize on established relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
• Focusing primarily on mining clients to help improve their operational efficiency through innovative automation solutions.
• Engaging with clients in defence, agriculture, power generation, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
• Collaborating with sales, engineering, and service team members to win full turnkey projects, ongoing service work, and component supply opportunities.
• Preparing and delivering technical presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in automation.
• Providing technical support and expertise to customers throughout the sales process.
• Achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in sales or business development within the automation industry.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and lubrication systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel across Australia as required.
