Our client has engaged Agenda Consulting to recruit an Expatriate Coordinator with Japanese language skills for this exceptional role. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a dynamic and fast-paced team and make a significant contribution to our client's global operations.
Play a pivotal role in supporting our client's international workforce. You'll ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support for expatriates by handling the following:
Expatriate Support and Services:

• Provide effective, consistent, and timely support.
• Collaborate with global teams for a unified approach.
• Offer guidance and support to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Coordinate, monitor, and review expat policies and procedures.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to Management and expatriates.
• Ensure compliance with immigration and taxation regulations.
• Onboard new expatriates and manage their benefits and allowances.
• Monitor and report on expatriate remuneration costs.
• Assist in determining expatriate allowance rates through market research.
• Fulfill secretariat duties, including event planning and coordination.

Relocation and Onboarding:

• Coordinate with relocation agencies to arrange accommodation, transportation, and cultural orientation for expatriates and their families.
• Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs to facilitate a seamless integration into the company culture.
• Assist with family members' enrolment in international schools, healthcare plans, and securing necessary permits.

General Welfare and Support:

• Provide ongoing support and assistance to expatriates and their families, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Organize social events and activities to foster a sense of community among expatriates.
• Offer guidance on cultural differences, language barriers, and work-life balance.
• Assist with emergency situations, crisis management, and repatriation planning.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese
• Knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping/accounting
• Awareness and experience working across all levels of staff and have the confidence in communicating ideas and solutions
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and provide excellent customer service
• Desire to work autonomously and able to priorities work responsibilities

Desired competencies

• Experience working in payroll would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and procedures an advantage.
• A good working knowledge of SAP ECC is preferable.
