About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support end-to-end accounting and reporting processes, working closely with the General Manager and broader finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of experience looking to develop their career in a dynamic FMCG environment.
This role requires regular communication with Japanese stakeholders, making bilingual capability essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with end-to-end accounting processes, including month-end and year-end close
• Prepare financial reports and support reporting requirements for the General Manager
• Ensure compliance with Australian financial regulations and reporting standards
• Liaise with Japanese headquarters and assist with reporting in line with Japanese systems
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Assist with end-of-financial-year processes and deadlines

Key Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
• Understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Experience within FMCG or a similar fast-paced industry (preferred)
• Knowledge or exposure to Japanese reporting systems and financial practices
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Language Requirement (Essential)

• Fluent Japanese and English (written and spoken)

• Australian Permanent Residency (PR) is required
