About Your New Role

As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will set the roadmap for delivering infrastructure solutions and supporting services with a focus on performance and reliability.

Other tasks include: 
Administer enterprise Windows Server and Linux environments.

• Support VMware vSphere and NSX virtualisation platforms.
• Manage enterprise storage platforms, backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam.
• Administer Citrix environments supporting critical business applications.
• Perform server lifecycle management including upgrades, patching and technology refreshes.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and capacity planning.
• Maintain secure infrastructure aligned with cyber security best practice.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide senior technical escalation.
• Work with Security, Networking and Architecture teams on infrastructure improvement projects.
• Manages external Service Providers supporting the infrastructure managed services in controlled environment.

About You
An experienced Engineer with broad technical exposure to infrastructure and hosting environments. You have a track record of delivering uplifts that underpin successful operating environments. 

You will be familiar with the following:

• Strong Windows Server administration experience.
• Linux systems administration.
• VMware vSphere and VMware NSX.
• Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Enterprise storage technologies.
• Citrix administration.
• Active Directory, Group Policy and core Microsoft infrastructure services.
• Infrastructure security, hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience supporting highly available enterprise infrastructure.
• Previous experience working within large corporate or enterprise environments.
