About your new Role!

Reporting to an experienced Finance Manager, this is a broad Senior Accountant position that combines technical financial accounting with genuine commercial exposure. You'll take ownership of the month-end process, statutory compliance and management reporting activities, while also leading process improvement initiatives and supporting decision-making across the wider business.

Managing one direct report, this role offers the opportunity to step into a visible position where you'll work closely with operational stakeholders and senior leadership. With clear succession planning in place, there are genuine opportunities to progress into a Finance Manager position or move into a commercial finance role within another division of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of the month-end and year-end close process
• Preparation of monthly management reports and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of annual financial statements and statutory compliance requirements
• Management of BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other taxation obligations
• Liaison with external auditors, tax advisors and finance partners
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow support
• Business partnering with operational teams to provide financial insights
• Driving finance process improvements, controls and reporting efficiencies
• Leadership and development of one Accounts Payable team member

About You!

To be successful in this role, you will be a technically strong accountant who enjoys building relationships across the business and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
You will ideally bring:

• CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion)
• 5+ years' experience within Accounting roles
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, consumer goods or another product-based environment
• Strong technical accounting, statutory reporting and compliance experience
• Experience preparing management reports, budgets and forecasts
• Advanced ERP systems and Excel capability
• A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to partner with stakeholders across the business
• An inquisitive approach with a willingness to learn and contribute beyond your core responsibilities
