We are looking for a values-driven and thoughtful Coach who believes in the potential of disabled people to lead full and self-directed lives.

This role sits within a hosted flexible funding environment. Disabled people hold decision-making authority over their supports, and your role is to work alongside them and their whānau, helping turn their choices into practical, sustainable support arrangements.

You will combine Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles with strong coordination and sound judgement, ensuring supports are person-led, financially responsible, and workable in practice.

Our Flexible Disability Support Unit operates as a host provider, supporting people to manage their own funding with the right level of guidance, coaching, and coordination. Our work is grounded in:

What You Will Do Work Alongside People

• Support people to shape supports around what matters to them
• Provide guidance so people can use their funding confidently and responsibly
• Help people understand options, decisions, and implications

Rostering & Coordination

• Coordinate supports that reflect the person’s choices and lifestyle
• Develop rosters that are sustainable, responsive, and reliable
• Ensure people know who is supporting them, when, and why

Budget & Funding Responsibility

• Support people to stay within their allocated budget and plan
• Identify risks early (over/underspend, gaps, sustainability issues)
• Work proactively to maintain effective and appropriate use of funding

Matching & Workforce Coordination

• Work with recruitment to ensure the right people are matched to supports
• Maintain continuity and quality of support relationships

Communication & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records
• Support clear documentation of plans, agreements, and changes
• Communicate effectively with clients, whānau, staff, and stakeholders

 This role is about supporting autonomy while ensuring supports are workable, sustainable, and responsible
